The Story

A pale head with closed eyes floats against soft space. The face is neither asleep nor dead exactly. It seems turned inward, listening to something beyond sound. Redon makes the closed eye more mysterious than the open one. Vision has moved inside.

II

The Technique

Oil on cardboard with muted palette, soft modeling, and atmospheric edges. The image draws from Redon’s earlier charcoal dream forms.

III

Hidden Symbols

Closed eyes suggest inner sight, meditation, dream, and spiritual withdrawal from external noise.

IV

The World It Was Born In

As psychology and Symbolist literature explored inner states, artists searched for images of inwardness.

V

The Artist's Voice

My drawings inspire, and are not to be defined.
